Welcome to German Autocare, the largest independent family run German car specialist in the UK.

Keith Guthrie founded German Autocare Ltd in 1998, bringing decades of engineering and automotive expertise to the business. Prior to this, he co-founded Merc-Care in 1994, starting with just two hoists and a shared vision for high-quality German vehicle servicing . Under Keith’s leadership, German Autocare evolved into one of the UK’s largest independent specialists for German marques such as Mercedes, Audi, VW, Seat and Skoda. The company has since expanded to multiple locations, including Leeds, Wakefield, and Sheffield, with his daughter Rebecca and son-in-law Steve now serving as directors . Keith Guthrie remains actively involved as director and company secretary, continuing to shape the business with his deep industry knowledge and commitment to quality service.

At German Autocare we cater for cars manufactured by Mercedes, BMW, Audi and Volkswagen (including Skoda and Seat). Our team of technicians currently totals 18, including 4 Master Technicians and all Senior Technicians are Mercedes, Audi or VW trained at local main dealers and work within one of our 3 specialist teams. In the Mercedes Team we employ 2 Master Technicians with specific Advanced AMG Qualifications.

Kept updated all way through process, even loaned me a car whilst work was completed. Also great on price for the amount of labour it took, can't recommend enough.

We recently bought our daughter first car for German Autocare, i saw the advertover Easter Bank Holiday they held the car for us to look at it. The Ford Ka was in extremely good condition and well lucked after by its previous owners. They gave the car a service and a full years MOT before it was collected despite having 3 months left on the MOT. Fantastic service I highly recommend German Autocare. Thankyou

Timing belt and clutch fitted on VW up, customer service excellent, usually do the work myself and am very reluctant to allow anyone to work on my car. However Mark made me feel at ease, and I trusted his knowledge and expertise. A job very well done, thankyou, will definitely be back when needed. Reasonable price.
